Accountability.
Befriending your process.
Creative partnership.

These are the ABCs of our work together.

Is it time to prioritize your writing + life?

  • What do you long to create or contribute?

  • Would you like to relate to your creative process with more ease, momentum, and joy?

  • Are you ready to weave more support and encouragement into your writing life?

  • Do you want to see what happens when you make room to think out loud and trust your own knowing?

Our sessions will offer you a strong container for exploring these questions more fully. You don’t have to bring answers, only a willingness to dive in.

How do we work together?

One conversation at a time.

You know the cadence and capacity of your days better than anyone else. So it only makes sense that you set the pace for our work together. Our sessions will welcome whatever you are bringing to the table. You right now, in this present moment. The you who wants to move forward and could use a reminder that you are inherently resourceful, creative, and capable.

Our work together will offer you space to explore the questions at your own pace, relieving the pressure to “figure it all out.”

After much trial and error and 20 years of coaching, I have found it ideal for new clients to begin their coaching journey with an initial three-month commitment.

  • For these first three months, you have three options for how often we meet:

    • one hour weekly (serious momentum!)

    • twice a month (spacious yet steady)

    • once a month (consistent support)

  • After that, you may renew for another three months, continue as an “a la carte” client, or complete or work together.

Do we work on actual pieces of writing?

This depends on you!

  • About half of my clients use our sessions as sounding boards, space to think out loud about their process, check in about their progress, and sort out questions that arise along the way. The focus is on how your writing self can thrive. In these cases, we don’t look at any actual writing.

  • I also offer coaching that is not exclusively writing-related, and bring many years of experience walking alongside folks going through other life transitions and exploring other professional, creative and spiritual questions of purpose, direction, and alignment.

  • Others use our calls as de facto deadlines, bringing drafts of essays or chapters for us to comb through together, often reading out loud, line editing, refining, polishing, and discussing revision ideas as we go.

  • I charge separately for any reading outside of our sessions that exceeds 500 words a week – this is something we can discuss during our first call.

Whether you have a specific topic you want to discuss, a piece of writing you’re wrestling with, an idea you want to explore and flesh out, or a project you need help developing, having accountability and a creative champion can be game-changing. I can’t wait to work with you.
