First Sentence is a new series featuring a monthly interview with a writer — poets, novelists, essayists, memoirists, as well as those who do not fit into any of these neatly defined genres.
Each month will give us a glimpse of a variety of writing approaches, philosophies, habits, quirks, and publishing options.
I firmly believe that there’s no “right” way to write, and that we can learn a great deal from how fellow writers find their way to the page, begin new work, keep going, and know when something is “done” and ready for the world.
Additional writers and details coming soon!
