Sometimes, you need to soar above the writing to see its full shape. And sometimes, it’s time to swoop down onto the page into the smallest details, knowing the world of difference a well-placed comma can make. My pleasure is in bringing both of these to our work together.

I’ve had the privilege of supporting dozens of authors in preparing their manuscripts for publication. These have included memoirs and collections of personal essays, poetry, and short stories.

We can also work on individual pieces on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly basis.

Every project is different.

That’s why we start by having a free initial conversation to discuss your work, timeline, and specific editorial, creative, and publishing-related questions and needs. I may ask you to send me a sample of your writing. This gives us both an opportunity make sure we’re a good fit. I may also request to see some of your work before customizing a thorough project agreement for your review. You will have the opportunity to ask questions or request changes. Once we have both signed an agreement, including a payment schedule, our work will begin!

Cost:

$200/hour for meetings
Editing rates vary depending on factors such as genre, timeline, degree of difficulty, stage of work, and type of editing. I will develop a project quote based on our exploratory conversation.
